ENTRY: Friday, July 26, 7:00-7:30 am, EH
JUDGING: Friday, July 26, 9:30-Noon, EH
SHOW TIME (for the public): Noon - 8:00 pm
EXHIBIT RELEASE: Friday, July 26, 8:00-8:30 pm

1.
Exhibit may not be removed before 8:00 pm but must be removed by 8:30 pm.
Claim ticket must be presented to claim quilt. If claim ticket is lost, ID must be presented to claim quilt.

2.

All exhibitors (exhibitor, person entering the quilts) must be a resident of Shawnee County.


3.
Quilts must be constructed by person exhibiting the quilt
except for classes 6301 Mini, 6303 Small and 6305 large (made by 2 or more people).
The other people who worked on these quilt entries do not have to be a resident of Shawnee County.

4.
Quilts must be in clean and excellent condition. Incomplete, torn or soiled quilts will not qualify
for entry or exhibition.

5.
All quilts in the small and large classes must have a sleeve for hanging.
SLEEVES MUST BE SEWN ONTO THE QUILT BACK, NOT PINNED.
Any quilt longer than 96” must have sleeve on the long side.
No quilts larger than 96” X 120” accepted because of space limitations.
Sleeve needs to measure at least 3½”.

6.

No quilts will be accepted that have been previously shown at the Shawnee County Fair.


7.

All quilts must be quilted by hand, machine or both. (No tied comforters will be accepted.)


8.

Only one mini, one small and one large class can be entered per exhibitor.


9.

ALL QUILTS MUST HAVE A LABEL with the name of the exhibitor sewn to the quilt.


10.

All quilts will be judged and the judge’s decisions are final.


11.
The Shawnee County Fair Association, the Superintendents and the Show Committee
assume no liability for loss, damage, theft or disappearance. Quilts will not be left unattended.

12.
Space is limited. Deadline for pre-entry is July 9, 2019.
Mail the pre-entry to Judy Beaman, 2223 Crest Drive, Topeka, KS 66614.
Enter early, when capacity is reached, no more entries will be accepted.
Calls will be made to those not accepted.

13.
Each class has three categories.
Placing is 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each category.
Champion and Reserve Champion will be picked from all the 1st place winners in
all three categories in each class.
Best of show is picked from the champions from all 6 classes.

14.
There is no age limit on entering the Quilt Show, but
4-Her’s enrolled in Fiber Art cannot enter the Quilt Show.
4-Her’s not enrolled in Fiber Arts can enter this Quilt Show.
